The Education Program consists of three components:

1. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS OF PSYCHOLOGY

Due to the unique and sensitive nature of the works in the Collection, it is essential for teachers to attend the Teacher Workshop and this is a pre-requisite for teachers bringing students to the Collection.

Workshop Program 2008
This is a comprehensive full day workshop conducted by clinicians, mental health advocates and education staff.

2. TEACHER RESOURCES

This Resource Package is provided as part of the teacher workshop program:

3. SUPPORTED SCHOOL VISITS

• Teachers should book their visits well in advance and must indicate which teacher will be accompanying each group.
• Student groups must be accompanied by at least one teacher who has completed the training workshop.
• Number of students: groups should ideally consist of no more than 25 students to ensure an engaging experience for students in the gallery.
• Students will be introduced to the Collection by an Education Officer who will be available to answer questions at the end of the session.
• Support for teachers and students will be available throughout your visit.

Workshop Program for Teachers revisiting the Collection
Teachers who have already completed one of our workshops are invited to attend a special viewing of the new on-site exhibition. This is an opportunity to become familiar with the works of the new exhibition before bringing students to visit.
