Arts Education Program

The Collection offers a challenging and dynamic exhibition and education program for those with a strong interest in, and students of Art, Studio Arts, English Literature, History, Philosophy, Ethics and Art Therapy.
The Collection welcomes visits and enquiries from secondary schools, tertiary institutes and community groups. We can tailor guided tours and talks to your specific interests. There is also opportunity for research.
The Collection's Education Program includes:
Guided tours, talks and workshops

Public programs: artist and curator's talks, guest speakers

Professional development for teachers including exhibition briefings and workshops which prepare teachers to use the Collection as a teaching resource

Education resources and interpretive materials to support gallery and classroom activities

Friends of the Cunningham Dax Collection: Friends receive a range of benefits including access to the library, discounts on publications and group bookings and invitations to openings and events

TEACHER INFORMATION SESSIONS & EXHIBITION PREVIEWS
We offer teachers the opportunity to familiarise and prepare students for a visit to the Collection. This is strongly recommended prior to bringing students to the Collection. Sessions will include:

Preview of the film “Collected Thoughts” featuring interviews with artists who have works in the Collection |

This session will provide an opportunity for teachers to ask questions about content and other relevant issues in preparation for bringing their students to the Collection.
